From 6 March 2014 a new set of guidelines have been published, which together with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) now govern planning policy. All the Planning Policy Guidelines (PPG), Planning Policy Statements (PPS) and numerous departmental circulars have been withdrawn and replaced by the Planning Practice Guidance Suite (PPGS).
